The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has made the CNIC renewal process more convenient, allowing citizens to renew their identity cards from home through the Pak ID mobile app.
The online service is aimed at reducing the need to visit NADRA offices and helping people avoid long queues and waiting times.
NADRA says the digital facility will also make the renewal process faster, easier and more transparent.
How to Renew Your CNIC Using Pak ID
To renew a CNIC through the app, users need to follow these steps:
- Open the Pak ID app on your smartphone.
- Select “Identity Documents” from the home screen.
- Tap on the “ID Card” option.
- Choose the relevant applicant from the available options.
- Select “Renewal” from the list of services.
- Enter the required information and upload the necessary documents.
- Complete the remaining steps by following the instructions shown in the app.
NADRA officials said the online service has been introduced to save citizens’ time and provide a quicker and more transparent way to renew CNICs.
