The Punjab government has announced revised timings for non-formal schools across the province, with the new schedule taking effect immediately and remaining in place until March 31, 2027.
According to an order issued by the Directorate General of Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education on October 19, non-formal schools will operate from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM, Monday through Saturday.
The order, approved by the competent authority, allows district officials to make adjustments to school timings on a case-by-case basis to meet the needs of the target population.
The directorate has instructed district authorities to update the revised schedule immediately on the Non-Formal Education Management Information System (NFEMIS) portal.
It has also directed all District Education Officers (Literacy) across Punjab to ensure strict compliance with the new timings.
The revised schedule applies to non-formal schools throughout Punjab and will remain effective until the end of March 2027, replacing the previous timings.
