Faisalabad to Introduce a Real-Time Public Transport Tracking App

The Faisalabad administration has announced a plan to launch a digital public transport system with a mobile app that shows live vehicle tracking and supports an electric vehicle (EV) battery-swapping network to improve city transport.

Commissioner Faisalabad and FUTS President Imran Hamid Sheikh said the new Faisalabad Public Transport App will bring both government and private transport from all four districts onto one digital platform.

The app will let passengers track buses in real time, including government buses, metro buses, electric buses, and Hiace vans. It will also offer route planning, helping people find the best routes, transfer points, and arrival times easily.

He added the app will be completely free and will allow digital registration of transport vehicles by connecting with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
