Schools in Small Buildings to Remain Shut in Punjab

The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has ordered the closure of all schools running on plots smaller than ten marlas.

Under the new rules, schools working in small spaces must either shift to bigger buildings or expand their current premises to meet the minimum land requirement.

School owners have been given a two-month deadline, ending on November 10, to follow these instructions. If expansion is not possible, schools must move to a new location and inform the PEF immediately.

After relocation, PEF teams will inspect the premises to confirm compliance before granting official approval.
