The Deputy Commissioner of Mansehra has ordered the closure of all public and private schools in the district for two days — August 18 and 19, 2025. The notification applies to both boys’ and girls’ institutions.
The step was taken due to the ongoing torrential monsoon rains, which have already caused serious property damage and threats to human lives. Officials noted that schoolchildren are especially at risk in such conditions.
The decision, made in consultation with higher authorities, aims to ensure the safety of students and staff until the weather situation improves.
