Holiday Declared in Punjab District

The Kasur district administration has declared a local holiday on Saturday, August 23, in connection with the 268th annual Urs of renowned Sufi poet Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah (RA).

According to the official notification, government offices, educational institutions, and other local departments will remain closed in the district on that day.

The three-day Urs celebrations will begin on August 22 and continue until August 24. Devotees from across the country are expected to attend the spiritual gatherings, which include recitations, Sufi poetry, and traditional rituals.

The Urs of Baba Bulleh Shah is one of Punjab’s most significant cultural and spiritual events, attracting thousands of visitors to Kasur every year.
