Gas Tariff Cut Hits SNGPL and SSGCL Consumers, Says OGRA

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued updated gas tariffs for SNGPL and SSGCL consumers for the fiscal year 2025-26, which will come into effect on July 1, 2025.

A spokesperson for OGRA stated on Sunday, “In line with the Federal Government’s directives following OGRA’s assessment of the estimated revenue requirements for SNGPL and SSGCL for FY 2025-26, category-wise gas sale prices have been revised starting July 1. Adjustments have been made specifically for Bulk consumers, General Industry (Process), and the Power sector.”

Additionally, fixed monthly charges for domestic consumers—both protected and non-protected—have been increased.

Meanwhile, the gas prices for other categories, including Domestic (slab-based), Special Commercial (Roti Tandoors), Commercial, General Industry (Captive), CNG, Cement, and Fertilizer, will remain unchanged.
