Apple Introduces the Budget-Friendly iPhone 16e as a Successor to the SE Series

The long-awaited successor to the iPhone SE series is finally here, but with a new name and an even lower price. Apple has officially retired the SE lineup, introducing the iPhone 16e as part of the iPhone 16 family. As speculated, the iPhone 16e features the iPhone 14’s design but comes with an upgraded chip, a single-camera setup, Apple Intelligence, and additional enhancements.

Since it shares the iPhone 14’s design, the iPhone 16e features the same 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Ceramic Shield on both the front and back, which Apple calls the “toughest back glass in a smartphone.” It also retains the thick bezels and wide notch from the iPhone 14.
