Pakistan Railways Suspends All Train Services to These Cities as Panic Sweeps the Capital

Train services from Multan and Faisalabad to Rawalpindi have been suspended immediately, with all 25 train bookings for Sunday, November 24, being canceled. Passengers are being provided with immediate refunds at temporary booking counters set up at the sealed railway stations. A strong police presence has been deployed at these locations, and access is heavily restricted.

The suspension of train services was prompted by security concerns following today’s protest in Islamabad, where both entry and exit points have been blocked with commercial containers.

At the same time, mobile internet services have been interrupted in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Several other cities nearby have reported partial internet outages, although mobile networks are still functioning.
