Preparations Finalized for Artificial Rain in Lahore

Although smog in Lahore reduced significantly on Sunday, the Punjab government is moving forward with plans to create artificial rain in the city to further enhance air quality.

Raja Jahangir Anwar, Secretary of the Environment Protection Department, advised residents to stay indoors to avoid poor air quality and reduce the risk of infections.

He also noted that several smoke-emitting vehicles have been seized, and polluting brick kilns and factories have been closed.

“Violators of established SOPs, regardless of their status, will not be shown any leniency,” he stated. “Anyone causing pollution will face legal action.”
