According to data from the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 1,800 per tola, reaching Rs. 276,200, while the price for 10 grams increased by Rs. 1,543 to Rs. 236,797.
Earlier in the week, gold prices in the local market fell by Rs. 500 per tola on the opening day, followed by another decline of Rs. 600 per tola on Tuesday. On Wednesday, gold prices rebounded, rising by Rs. 600 per tola, but dropped again on Thursday, decreasing by Rs. 1,100 per tola.
Today’s increase brought the price of gold close to the all-time high of Rs. 277,000 per tola, which was recorded last week.
In the international market, spot gold remained relatively stable at $2,659.13 per ounce as of 1019 GMT.
