Redmi K100 May Feature Xiaomi’s Largest-Ever Smartphone Battery

Xiaomi has confirmed new details about the upcoming Redmi K100, highlighting its massive 10,000mAh battery, which the company says is the largest ever fitted to a Xiaomi smartphone.

The Redmi K100 is scheduled to launch in China on October 27, alongside the Clip Neo earbuds.

Design and Display

The Redmi K100 features a 6.83-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. It also supports a 480Hz multi-finger touch reporting rate and an instantaneous touch sampling rate of 3,500Hz.

According to Xiaomi, more than 40 games support native 165fps gameplay, while over 100 titles support frame interpolation for smoother visuals.

The phone features a metal frame, a centered punch-hole selfie camera and a horizontal rear camera module. Buyers will also get a new Firefly Green color option.

Performance and Software

Powering the Redmi K100 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with a dedicated D2 gaming display chip designed to enhance graphics performance and improve frame rates.

The device will run HyperOS 4 and include Bose-tuned audio hardware, adding to its gaming and multimedia capabilities.

Battery and Charging

The standout feature is the 10,000mAh Jinshajiang battery, which uses 28% silicon-carbon content and delivers an energy density of 957Wh/L. Xiaomi says the battery is designed to maintain stable performance in temperatures as low as -20°C.

Xiaomi president Lu Weibing has shared impressive battery endurance figures for the device:

  • 29+ hours of Douyin video playback

  • 24+ hours of live streaming

  • 47+ hours of music playback

  • 18+ hours of navigation

  • 46+ hours of reading

Xiaomi also claims the phone can play up to 1,000 short-drama episodes on a single charge.

Despite its large battery capacity, the Redmi K100 supports 100W wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging. It also includes bypass charging, a feature designed to reduce heat buildup during gaming by powering the phone directly rather than routing all power through the battery.

The Redmi K100 will officially debut in China on October 27, with its enormous battery and high-refresh-rate display among its biggest selling points.
