Hajj 2027 Registration Online: Guide for Pakistanis & Overseas Applicants

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has officially launched the mandatory online registration campaign for Hajj 2027–2030, and the response has been massive.

Record-Breaking Initial Registration

  • During the first 14 days of the campaign, more than 232,000 citizens completed their online registration to perform Hajj next year.
  • Out of the registered applicants, approximately 175,000 opted for the government Hajj scheme, while around 58,000 registered under the private Hajj scheme.
  • The applicant pool includes roughly 136,000 men and 96,000 women.
  • The initial registration step for Hajj 2027 is completely free of charge.

How to Apply Online (No Bank Visits Required)

The registration process has been significantly modernized. Using a system developed in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board (NITB), applicants can complete the entire process from their homes within minutes, saving them from making lengthy visits to banks or government offices.

  • Official Digital Platforms: Intending pilgrims must register via the official Ministry portal. You can start your application directly at the Pakistan Ministry of Hajj Registration Portal (hajj.mora.gov.pk).
  • Mobile App: Alternatively, you can download the official Pak Hajj mobile app (available on the App Store and Google Play).
  • In-Person Option: For those who prefer traditional methods, applicants can still visit any designated Allied Bank branch for hassle-free application processing.

Registration for Overseas Pakistanis

If you are an expatriate, you can still secure your spot. Registration is mandatory for overseas Pakistanis who intend to perform Hajj under Pakistan’s official quota. The current online registration procedure via the MoRA portal applies directly to Overseas Pakistanis residing abroad.

Strict Passport Validity Requirements

Travel documentation is the most critical part of your application.

  • Current Requirement: A valid passport is not a strictly mandatory requirement for the initial registration phase.
  • Booking Requirement: However, a valid Pakistani passport will become absolutely mandatory during the Hajj dues booking process. Applications submitted without a valid passport at that stage will not be accepted.
  • Expiry Cut-Offs: Pakistani authorities and the Ministry of Religious Affairs have warned prospective pilgrims to obtain or renew their passports immediately, ensuring they remain valid until at least November 16, 2027, with some reports noting validity is required up to November 26, 2027.
