During the day, trading volume reached 752,664,527 shares, up from 589,546,678 shares on the prior trading day, with the total share value climbing to Rs. 32.827 billion from Rs. 29.959 billion.
In total, 452 companies traded their shares on the stock market; of these, 223 saw price increases, 169 recorded declines, and 60 remained unchanged.
The top three traded companies were Power Cement, with 66,262,505 shares at Rs. 7.79 per share; Sui Southern Gas, trading 51,962,511 shares at Rs. 16.68 per share; and Fauji Foods Limited, with 32,398,093 shares at Rs. 10.57 per share.
Indus Motor Company Limited recorded the highest increase in share price, rising by Rs. 73.60 to close at Rs. 2,062.88. Sazgar Engineering Works Limited followed with a gain of Rs. 49.05, ending at Rs. 1,081.39.
On the downside, Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited saw the largest decrease, with its share price dropping by Rs. 554.53 to Rs. 18,667.33, while Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited declined by Rs. 63.26, closing at Rs. 7,442.09.
