The Meteorological Department forecasts rainfall in several regions of Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released a forecast indicating notable weather changes in the northern areas of the country from October 5 to 8, with rain and thunderstorms anticipated. Meanwhile, Sindh is likely to experience hot and dry conditions during this time.

Rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP):

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has indicated that a westerly weather system is expected to reach the northern regions of the country by October 5. As a result, several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are likely to experience rain, along with gusty winds and thunderstorms.

Areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Swabi, Charsadda, and Nowshera are expected to be impacted by the weather system. These regions may experience isolated heavy rainfall and occasional hailstorms as well.

Meanwhile, other regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Mardan, Kurram, Orakzai, Kohat, Hangu, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan, are expected to experience intermittent rain from October 5 to 7.

Rain in Azad Kashmir:

In Azad Kashmir, regions such as Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur are expected to experience rain and thunderstorms from October 5 to 8. Isolated areas may also see moderate to heavy rainfall along with hailstorms during this period.

Rain in Gilgit-Baltistan:

In Gilgit-Baltistan, areas including Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Hunza, Ghanche, and Shigar are anticipated to experience similar weather conditions, with heavy rainfall expected in certain regions from October 5 to 8.
