The authorities have intensified their efforts against the adulterated milk mafia, checking 267 milk trucks across the city. While 14 trucks were found to be carrying adulterated milk, 253 trucks passed the inspection. This crackdown aims to ensure the safety and quality of milk for consumers.
As part of the ongoing inspection, 36,000 liters of milk were checked, resulting in the destruction of 2,560 liters of adulterated milk. Heavy fines were also imposed on the offenders. The checks are being carried out across the provincial metropolis under the directive of the DG Food Authority.
Vehicles coming from Gajju Matah, Babu Sabu, Adda Plot, Thokar Niaz Baig, Ravi Bridge, and Jallo Mor were checked. DG Food Authority, Asim Javed, stated that 2,560 liters of milk were destroyed after failing the quality test.
