The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finalized all preparations for the upcoming general elections.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Election Commission has set up a total of ninety thousand six hundred seventy-five polling stations across all four provinces. Over one hundred and twenty million registered voters are expected to participate in the upcoming general elections, casting their votes for the National Assembly and four Provincial Assemblies.

Among these polling stations, there are forty-one thousand four hundred and three combined polling stations, with twenty-five thousand three hundred twenty designated for male voters and twenty-three thousand nine hundred fifty-two for female voters.

In the pursuit of National Assembly seats, a total of 5,121 candidates are participating in the electoral race. This comprises 4,807 male candidates, 312 female candidates, and two transgender candidates.

The elections are scheduled to take place on two hundred and sixty-six general seats of the National Assembly and five hundred and ninety-three general seats across the four provincial assemblies.

Simultaneously, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has successfully concluded the training of approximately 1.49 million election staff. This comprehensive training is aimed at ensuring the seamless and effective conduct of the forthcoming general elections in 2024.
