The district administration has announced that all schools and colleges in Sialkot will remain closed on August 29 and 30 because of severe flooding in the area.
According to a notification from the Deputy Commissioner, heavy rains and rising river levels have caused serious damage across the district. Authorities said the closure was ordered to protect students and teachers while rescue and relief operations continue.
The decision applies to all tehsils of Sialkot, and several schools are already being used as temporary shelters for families displaced by the floods.
The Deputy Commissioner urged parents and school staff to follow government instructions and ensure children remain in safe places until conditions improve.
