Punjab Declares Schools and Colleges to Reopen

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced on Wednesday that, after consultations with all stakeholders, the provincial government has decided to partially resume operations in educational institutions.

The minister stated that classes for grades 9 and 10, along with Intermediate, O Level, and A Level students, will restart on August 18 in both public and private institutions, while classes for grades 1 to 8 will remain suspended until August 31.

The All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association criticized the Punjab government’s move to extend summer vacations until August 31, labeling it unnecessary and detrimental to students’ learning.
