Punjab Announces Revised School Timings Following Winter Vacation

Schools across Punjab will reopen on January 13 after the winter holidays, with the Department of Special Education introducing revised timings to account for the region’s ongoing cold wave. The Department of Special Education announced that schools, which have been closed since December 20, will reopen on Monday. Under the new schedule, school hours will run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday, while on Fridays, schools will conclude earlier at 12:00 PM.

To accommodate the cold weather, the Department of Special Education has eased uniform regulations for students. From January 13 to February 15, students attending special education institutions are allowed to wear warmer clothing to ensure their comfort in the chilly conditions.

Furthermore, all public and private schools across Punjab will reopen on January 13 as scheduled, with no extension to the winter break announced by the provincial government. Classes are set to resume as planned, despite the ongoing cold weather.
