LHC Declares Eid-ul-Adha Break

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has officially declared a three-day holiday for Eid-ul-Adha, which will be observed by courts throughout the province. According to a notification, the LHC, along with civil, district, and session courts, will be closed from June 17 to June 19.

The announcement came after Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan approved the decision. This aligns with the federal government’s earlier notification, which declared Eid-ul-Adha holidays from June 17 to June 19, as sanctioned by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

In practice, the holidays will begin on June 15 (tomorrow), since most government offices and educational institutions are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This effectively provides five consecutive days off for many workers and students.

Additionally, the provincial governments of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with the State Bank of Pakistan, have announced Eid holidays following the same schedule, ensuring uniformity across the country.
