The International Cricket Council (ICC) is scheduled to announce the much-awaited 2025 Champions Trophy schedule next week. Fans are eagerly awaiting the official reveal, which will confirm match dates, venues, and team lineups for the prestigious tournament.
An important ICC delegation is set to visit Lahore from November 10 to 12 to assess the preparations for Pakistan’s hosting of the prestigious 50-over tournament.
Sources indicate that the schedule for the 2025 Champions Trophy has already been shared with participating teams to aid in their preparations. During their visit to Lahore, the ICC delegation will assess the logistics and overall readiness for the tournament. Following this review, an official event is planned for November 11, where the schedule will be publicly announced.
According to the preliminary schedule, Pakistan is set to compete in Group A with India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B will feature England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is currently awaiting government clearance to confirm India’s participation in the tournament.
Lahore will host the final of the tournament, along with seven other matches, while Karachi will kick off the event and also host one of the semi-finals. Rawalpindi will stage five matches, including the second semi-final. The semi-finals are scheduled for March 5 and 6, with the final set for March 9, followed by a reserve day on March 10.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is planned to run from February 19 to March 9, with matches hosted across Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
