Government Announces Date for Hajj Application Submissions

The federal government has announced that Hajj 2025 applications under the government scheme will begin on November 18, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Applicants can submit their applications at specified banks from November 18 until December 3, with an extended deadline of December 6 for individuals holding valid passports.

The payment process will be divided into three parts. Applicants must first pay an initial sum of Rs. 200,000 with their application. Those selected through the draw will then need to pay a second installment of Rs. 400,000, and the remaining balance must be settled by February 10, 2025.

Additional charges will apply for sacrificial animals as well as for double or triple occupancy room preferences. Priority will be given to first-time applicants under the regular government scheme, with the selection draw set for December 6. The estimated total cost for Hajj 2025 is expected to range between Rs. 10,75,000 and Rs. 11,75,000.

Applicants must fulfill certain requirements, including physical and mental health standards as mandated by Saudi regulations. Only individuals born before February 12, 2013, are eligible to apply, and a medical certificate is required.

Overseas Pakistanis can download medical certificate forms from the Ministry’s website. Those who are in the process of obtaining a passport may submit a provisional or “token” application.

In addition, women are now permitted to travel without a Mahram, provided they indicate their family status on the application. The entire application process, along with fee submission, is available online, making it easier for applicants throughout Pakistan to apply.
