Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Monday, following gains in the international market.
- The price of gold per tola jumped by Rs. 1,500, reaching Rs. 357,700, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
- The price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs. 1,286, settling at Rs. 306,670.
This rise comes after a weekend dip when gold per tola fell by Rs. 900 on Saturday, closing at Rs. 356,200. However, Monday’s rebound reflects renewed strength in the global market.
On the international front, gold rose to $3,350 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a $15 jump in just one day, which also impacted local rates.
In contrast, silver prices showed no change, holding steady at Rs. 4,031 per tola despite gold’s volatility.
