JazzWorld Leads Rawal Dam Cleanup Drive with CDA & MCI

JazzWorld, working together with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), held a cleanliness drive at Kinara Park, Rawal Lake. The goal was to protect one of Islamabad’s most important natural and recreational areas. This effort highlights JazzWorld’s commitment to reducing waste, lowering landfill pressure, and encouraging community involvement.

More than 200 volunteers took part in the activity and collected nearly 2 tons of waste using around 80 garbage bags. Their efforts helped keep the area clean, protect the local environment, and spread awareness about proper waste disposal and the importance of maintaining clean public spaces.

Senior officials from CDA and MCI also attended the event, showing strong cooperation between government bodies and the private sector in addressing environmental challenges. Rawal Lake, a key ecological and recreational spot in Islamabad, benefited from this cleanup, which helped preserve its natural beauty and promote responsible environmental practices.

Speaking about the initiative, Syed Zaheer Mehdi said that sustainability at JazzWorld is not just about policies but also about real actions on the ground. He emphasized that removing waste from public spaces is a direct step toward protecting the environment and shows how teamwork can create meaningful impact.

This cleanup drive is part of JazzWorld’s broader ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) efforts, focusing on environmental protection, community development, and employee engagement. By partnering with organizations like CDA and MCI, JazzWorld continues to support initiatives that promote cleanliness, responsible behavior, and a greener, more sustainable Pakistan.

In addition, such initiatives play an important role in educating the public about environmental responsibility. When communities actively participate in cleanup activities, they become more aware of their role in keeping their surroundings clean and reducing waste in daily life.

Moving forward, JazzWorld aims to expand similar environmental campaigns across other cities, encouraging more people to join hands in protecting nature. These efforts will help build a culture of sustainability, responsibility, and long-term environmental care for future generations.
