The new Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Prime Minister’s Office System (PMOS) has been introduced by Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, a digital system to record, communicate, monitor and track all directives issued by the PM from their issuance to implementation and post-completion review.
In his remarks, the prime minister lauded Information Technology Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja and the IT secretary for developing the system. According to him, the initiative will help improve coordination among various departments within the government.
The officers brief the prime minister that PMOS is the first such government platform in Pakistan that is equipped with the capability to utilize artificial intelligence as the basic component in making decisions and monitoring the implementation process. It is developed right at the center of the government and designed in a way that allows for efficient communication of directives to other departments while simultaneously keeping track of their implementation against specific timetables and criteria.
Apart from that, the platform also acts as a decision-support system by using artificial intelligence to conduct analytics based on the available information about the government. At the heart of the platform lies a digital archive that keeps a record of all the directives issued
