The government has decided not to change petrol and diesel prices for the rest of January 2026.
High-speed diesel will stay at Rs. 257.08 per litre, and petrol will remain Rs. 253.17 per litre for the next two weeks. These prices will apply from January 16, 2026. This decision was made after advice from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), according to the Ministry of Energy.
Earlier, in the last two weeks, the government had lowered prices. Diesel became cheaper by Rs. 8.57 per litre, and petrol was reduced by Rs. 10.28 per litre, giving some relief to people.
